Last Friday, the intrepid Airbnb community team headed to The Book Club in London for a special social event heralding the start of many more fun times to come. We even introduced a surprise guest to some super-chuffed Airbnbers!
Thanks to host, Tallat, the Airbnb team stayed in a luxurious apartment right around the corner from the pub in lively Shoreditch!
In our opinion even more amazing than the punch we drank, were the mantle-ready family portraits. We’re not surprised that our London community was so good at trivia, but we at least thought we could stump you with our question about the referral program! You nailed it, even with converting USD to GBP. If you have not taken advantage, start racking up that travel credit now by inviting your friends to host!
The community also had an opportunity to ask insightful questions and pose suggestions during a Q&A with co-founder Nate Blecharczyk. As it turns out, the answer is “Yes.” You can get tickets for Lion King in 3D from your cell phone using the Airbnb Concierge service. Try it for yourself with your next guests at your home or on your next trip! Also a big shout-out to host, Sebastian, for sharing his gem of wisdom to leave a key and name of your guest with a pub nearby your flat. That way your guests always have a friendly face to greet them when they arrive.
While our trip was too short to adventure around London, we did get to try Busaba for dinner and Common for a nightcap! Try the “Morning Glory” and the “Whiskey and Coffee.” Both are dangerously delicious. All in all, it was a fabulous night with the Airbnb community. Well done London! Looking forward to next time.
