Goodbye Copenhagen, Hello Amsterdam!

Indtil vi ses igen! The Airbnb team says goodbye to Copenhagen and hello to Amsterdam! We’ve only just begun our second European Tour and we’re already overwhelmed with the local hospitality and a growing hunger for travel. We discovered so much in so little time, but here’s our simple recipe to help you discover Copenhagen!

1. A treat to eat: Soft Ice

This stuff is amazing and the Danish aren’t kidding when it comes to the cream in their Ice Cream. As if it weren’t already a cone of perfection they then top it off by rolling it in your choice of topping (try cacao powder!). Feeling dangerous? Put it on a belgian waffle. We dare you.

2. A sight to see: All of them…from a boat.

Canal Tours provide a narrated history of the city and a unique perspective from the inner harbor. Our favorite sights? The Black Diamond, a modern architectural marvel and the old Stock Exchange complete with oxidized copper roofs and a dragon-tailed tower.

3. A host to meet: Joel

Joel was our quick-witted, generous, host who not only provided a perfectly central apartment but local knowledge of where to eat and live like a local. He showed us one of our new favorite spots – The Living Room, a coffee shop with underground seating and homemade hot chocolate! He also participated in our the first musical version of AirTV.

Grab your bike and explore a city known for it’s quality of life and welcoming citizens! Be sure to follow our adventures at airbnb.com/eurotour for pictures, video, and meetup dates.
