Airbnb hosts in Boston have been welcoming guests into their homes since 2009. Over the past five years, Boston residents have formed a vibrant Airbnb community, sharing unique experiences with travelers from around the world.

In 2014, Airbnb undertook analysis to understand the economic, social, and environmental impacts of it’s community in Boston. The findings presented here are based on all travel to Boston during the year-period from July 2013 to June 2014.

In the previous year, 33,780 guests traveled to Boston with Airbnb. The number of guests using Airbnb has grown steadily since 2009, with visitation more than doubling between 2012 and 2013.
